It's a Business Hotel. A comfortable stay with friendly and attentive staff.

I stayed at the Port Tower Hotel for 3 nights after being discharged from Amami hospital after a major car accident. Firstly this is a Business Hotel so I'm reviewing it as a such. If you want a plush 4 or 5 star hotel this is definitely not it. This refurbished hotel is located in a kinda industrial area as its the only hotel adjacent to the ferry dock for early inter island ferries that depart at all hours of night/earlymorning. Some of the staff spoke English but with translator apps the language barrier should not be any problem. I had a huge room with 2 double beds and views overlooking the bay/port. The room was spotlessly clean. They offer breakfast and dinner in the 10th floor restaurant which is dated but just fine - I only had generous breakfast which is a choice of 4 set menus for about Yen1100/pp. ALL the staff are very friendly, attentive and very helpful. Parking and rental bicycles are available but I didn't use. i would have no hesitation staying here again. No eating options immediately around the hotel but they're only about 500m away.

1月といっても暖かい奄美大島で、滞在中は快適に過ごせました。 昭和スタイルのビジネスホテルで、 ただ寝るだけと割り切れば特に悪くないホテルです。 スタッフさんは海外の方ですが、 にこやかで頼んだことなどもしっかり対応してもらえて、そこが1番良かった点です。 立地としては飲み屋さんなどからは少し歩きます。

今回は３５㎡のダブルベットが2台の９階のハーバービューの部屋（元ロイヤルスイート）に４泊しました。予約はagodaでしたが、るるぶの予約枠の利用でした。通常のツインより１泊2,000円高かったですが、部屋は広いほうが良いですね。駐車場は期間中で500円です。10階にレストランが有ります。ディナーは、１食1,300円～1,500円です。宿泊者限定の鶏飯2,200円のセットを食べました。鶏飯にステーキと刺身が付いていました。大変美味しかったです。ホテルの場所が商店街（飲食街）から少し離れています。レンタサイクルが1日500円、3時間300円です。

very bad hotel, very very small and dirty rooms. the whole hotel was dirty, rusty, did not provide services. the Sauna was open to men only and none of the staff spoke English. there was nothing open near the hotel. the photos on the hotel website are completely edited as the rooms are almost impossible to get into

GWの奄美大島の滞在先として宿泊しました。名瀬中心部から徒歩10分ほど離れていますが、天気が良かったので徒歩での行き来は問題ありませんでした。建物は古めですが、手入れは良く、まぁまぁ快適でした。角部屋だったのでフェリーターミナルや名瀬中心部の眺望がよかったです。朝食を調達できる場所は近くになさそうだったので、朝食付きとしました(隣にマツキヨがあるので、飲みものやおつまみは容易に調達できます)。洋食、和食、ミックス、少量のプランから選択するのですが、いずれも家庭的なメニューであり、栄養バランスが崩れがちな旅行中ではありがたかったです。また、到着日は名瀬までの往復が面倒だったので、ホテル最上階のレストランで夕食を頂きましたが、定食も奄美のローカル料理も美味しかったです。次にまた利用する際は、夕食はここで済ませても良いかと思って言います。レンタカー利用時は、翌日の利用開始時刻をフロントで申告すると、その時刻に出庫できるように調整してもらえるシステムです。
