I recently stayed at the Sheraton Grand Hiroshima with my family, booking two Club Level rooms—a twin for my brother and me, and a king for our parents. While the hotel boasts a convenient location and modern amenities, we were taken aback upon discovering that the bathroom facilities in our rooms offered minimal privacy.  The toilet and shower areas are enclosed with transparent or barely opaque glass doors, providing little to no seclusion. This design might be acceptable for solo travelers or couples, but it’s highly inappropriate for siblings or friends sharing a room. What’s more concerning is that this lack of privacy isn’t clearly depicted or mentioned in the hotel’s promotional materials or booking platforms. Only upon speaking with the manager did I realize that other travelers have had a similar concern to ours, and afterwards saw reviews noting the discomfort caused by the transparent bathroom enclosures.  When we addressed our concerns with the front desk, the only solutions offered were to upgrade to a suite at an additional cost or downgrade to a standard room without any compensation. Both options were unsatisfactory, especially considering the inconvenience and the premium we paid for Club Level accommodations. The manager acknowledged the issue but was unwilling to provide a more suitable resolution. As a result, we have to wait until the following day to change rooms, disrupting our vacation plans. It’s disappointing that a hotel of this caliber doesn’t prioritize guest comfort and transparency in its room designs. Recommendation: If you’re considering staying here with someone you’re not intimately acquainted with, be aware of the bathroom layout. Unless the hotel revises its room designs or offers clearer information during booking, I would recommend exploring other accommodations in Hiroshima that better respect guest privacy and comfort.

Excellent, flawless hotel with superior customer service. Would stay there again but on pricier side~

Faultless and flawless. I only stayed one night but it was my favourite hotel out of the 6 hotels I stayed at throughout Japan during my week there. The service is just flawless. Every time I stepped into the reception area, the staff didn't just stand there but noticed I was coming, and proactively walked towards me to greet me. There was no waiting on all occasions that I needed to approach staff. They kept my luggage for me in storage as I arrived at 8.30am and by the time I came back around 8pm, they had already delivered the luggage to my room. Amazing. They gave me a beautiful room. New, comfortable, on a high and quiet floor with amazing city views. Also gave me Club Lounge access but I was so short on time, unfortunately I could not use the included amenities. It is a pricey but lovely hotel. You get what you pay. Right next to the main station - Hiroshima Station, it is so convenient with endless options and convenient stores nearby (24/7) as well as inside the station. I was spoilt with a department store-style gourmet supermarket within the station but only 5 mins walk from the hotel, and grabbed a number of delicious items to be consumed at the airport that night I left to go home. Before arrival, I asked for several sets of extra towels and sure enough they were there waiting for me in my room. I would definitely stay there again! The place where cars pick you up is very confusing. It is not on the reception floor and there are two car pick-up zones on the same floor so if you need an uber, taxi or private car transfer, be sure to check with staff and the driver, which side to meet you on. I was on the wrong side causing a late pick-up.

Good Location, Club Lounge Needs Work!

Very convenient from the train station. The hotel is thin and tall so the layout of the common areas is a little awkward. Our biggest disappointment was the club lounge. Very limited choice. So, unexpected in Japan but would have been fine in a small town in the USA! Had to coax the front desk to upgrade me (Lifetime Titanium) to a corner room. Why not do that automatically?! Overall, given that this is the only Bonvoy choice in town, would be great to see more of an effort in the Club Lounge, even if the rates have to be increased a bit.

Perfect Location for a One Night Visit to Hiroshima's Highlights - and Quiet

The hotel is right above Hiroshima station. We came in for just one night, visiting the peace park and museum on the afternoon of the first day, and visiting Miyajima on the morning of the second day. Which meant we could roll off the train and go directly to the hotel to drop our bags, and also have them hold our bags the next day to pick-up on our way out. The staff are lovely, and very accommodating. We set up an extra bed in the room as we were traveling with kids, but actually, the double beds would have been big enough for 2 normal-sized humans in each bed (which is not the case in other Japanese hotels). Others have noted that the rooms are a good size, and the bathroom is a proper one not an all enclosed capsule. And it was completely quiet on my high floor. No train sounds, no sirens, no cars, no neighboring rooms - just solid quiet. Breakfast was good, if standard Japanese nice hotel fare. There are western and Japanese breakfast options, and of course you can tuck into both - let's face it, where else can you have fish, rice, miso soup, pickles and natto for breakfast! I booked this hotel on points, and it took quite a lot of points to get the room, but I was very satisfied.

Beautiful hotel and next to train station.

This hotel is located next to the main train station which is how we arrived. Exit north exit and walk 200 yards and you are at the hotel. Lobby is on the 5th or 6th floor. Lobby is stunning. We arrived @noon and our room was not ready and they held our luggage. When we got back from a tour at 6 pm our Rome was ready and they had put our luggage in our room. We are Marriott platinum so we had lounge access from 7-10 pm which had limited food and beverage options and included a very nice breakfast buffet. We only stayed one night but this was the nicest Sheraton grand hotel we have stayed in. The views from our room were very nice. I would highly recommend this hotel.
