11月の連休に泊まりました。 宿の前に車を止めるとスタッフの方が車を移動してくれました。 チェックインしてから近くを散歩しようと思い出かけようとしたら私を見て靴を用意してくれました！ 基本的にスタッフの接客はいいと思います。 黒川温泉の川沿いの宿は何処も建物は古めです。 こちらのお宿も古いのですが中は清潔にされています。 温泉はとろみはあまり無い泉質です。 内風呂と露天風呂があるのですが脱衣所から内風呂か露天風呂に入ることができ、内風呂から直接露天風呂には行けません。 露天風呂にはシャワーがないのが残念です。 食事はどれも美味しく、追加で馬刺しを頼みましたが量も多く大変美味しかったです！ 朝食は種類がとても多くお腹いっぱいになりました！ 今回の宿泊料は1泊2食で28600円でした。 感想としては高くも無く安くもないかなと思います。

Nice onsen ryokan experience

Read some of the reviews, whilst I agree it's more expensive compared to other ryokans, I find some complaints are due to miscomm. We chose no cleaning of room since we stayed for 2N only. This means 1st night dinner is in room, 2nd night is at restaurant on L2, because our futons are already set up in middle of the room and table pushed to the side. Whilst we were having bfast, they came in to tidy up the futons but they are not kept, so we can go back to sleep anytime we want. I like the whole range of facial cleansers they provide at the sink in room. Smells really nice! Food wise, a bit overwhelming in terms of portions bec there are so many courses..and personally we are not fans of horse sashimi nor raw chicken. Even thought we returned these 2 courses at dinner, we were still super full from the other courses. Young waiter shows translation on his mobile phone to explain each course. Agree they don't have staff who can speak English, we don't speak a word of Jap but can get by with hand gestures. In the day, there is a recep girl from Guangzhou who speaks Mandarin, Cantonese and bit of English. When we walked to onsen town just 10min away, we see a few restaurants which are opened for dinner so you can opt for just bfast, just note the timings of restaurants. Also if you drive, on the way to Nabetaki Falls, you will drive past Oguni rest place, there is a huge supermkt and few cafe/easteries for food options. Things at that supermarket is cheap. There is an air pot in room if you wanna have cup noodles. My room at L2 has a nice view of the Jap garden and Sakura, also enjoyed the ladies only outdoor onsen. Not crowded at all.

For your first Ryokan experience; not too affordable

This is a typical traditional Ryokan, so the rooms do not come with showers, and some rooms come with ensuite WC (toilet, not bathroom). But good news for those who do not like getting naked in front of strangers in an onsen - you can reserve private onsen (family onsen) rooms (an hour only), where you can soak and bathe, in private and with your loved ones. But note, you need to reserve and they are not always available. Having said that, if you want the full-on Japanese Ryokan experience, you can do it here. The half-board (dinner and breakfast) package is not cheap at all, but you do get the sleep-on-futons, sliding Japanese doors in room, water garden view, tatami etc. experience, with dinner and breakfast cooked with seasonal ingredients. We did not really undersand our meal courses (dinner and breakfast), and they were not exactly sumptous (although you will have a full stomach at the end) and delectable. And we had a better experience earlier in another Ryokan some time back. But again, if this is going to be your first-time Ryokan experience, then go for it. I would recommend staying in a hotel if you have been there and done that with Ryokans.

部屋・温泉・食事も満足できる旅館

車は少し離れた駐車場までスタッフさんが移動してくれます。ロビー、ラウンジ、フロントは３階、木造建築なので温かみが感じられます。宿泊した部屋は新館の２階。１０畳の和室でも広く感じられる。掘りごたつのある四畳のサービスルームがあるのもいい。近くには川の水が流れ、その水音に心の中が澄み渡ります。大浴場は１階、内湯と露天風呂、どちらも自然石を配している。泉質は無色無臭の食塩泉。ぬめり感はないが、身体が芯まで温まります。夕食•朝食共に内容が充実している。夕食はコース料理。どの料理も旬の素材の持ち味を十分に生かしていて実に美味しい。鮎の塩焼きはたっぷり塩がかかり、脂がすごくのっていて美味しい。朝食にも鮎が出たが、天ぷらになっているので、夕食の鮎とは味が変わり別の川魚を食べているよう。同じ具材を使っても、調理方法が変わればマジックのように味も変わることも実感。ご飯もとても美味しかったです。お米の粒々が立って光っているのは美味しいご飯の証拠です。

キレイなお宿です。

きれいなお宿です。お食事も適量で美味しかった。 感染対策はきちんとされていましたし不満は有りませんが、おもてなしや感動を感じることはなく、あまり記憶に残らないお宿でした。
